Chronic Disease management

The practice nurse provides the following clinics on a monthly basis:glucometer

  • Diabetic
  • Heart Disease
  • Hypertension
  • Asthma
  • Spirometry
  • Blood Clinics

Other Services

  • Cervical Smear Tests - the practice nurse will perform the smear test.  All women aged 25 – 65 should have a test at least once every three years or five years depending on your age and you will be contacted through the smear recall system when you are due to make an appointment.  When making an appointment, please let the receptionist know it is for a smear, so enough time can be allocated.

  • doctor_baby_girlChildhood Immunisations - all childhood vaccines are delivered under the routine Scottish Childhood Immunisation Programme and are done so by the Immunisation Team.  These vaccinations are delivered at clinics throughout Fife.  Your appointment letter will detail the location of the clinic and the time to attend your appointment.  Further information can be found at www.nhsfife.org/services/all-services/immunisation 
  • Regular Monitoring - of patients on a range of drugs for arthritis and bowel problems.
  • Adult Vaccinations (flu, covid, pneumococcal, shingles) - all adult vaccinations (excluding travel vaccinations) are carried out by the Immunisation Team and if you are eligible for any of these vaccinations you will receive an invite for the vaccination.  Further information can be found at www.nhsfife.org/services/all-services/immunisation
